Galvanised Mild Steel Trench Grate

Trench grates are an important element of preventing driveways (both domestic and commercial), laneways, roads, shopping centres, malls and other pedestrian thoroughfares, and other open areas from flooding. They are designed to catch large amounts of water flowing as the result of a heavy downpour or a leak, leaving the area above and surrounding the grate as safe for pedestrian or vehicle traffic as it would be when dry.

Covertite trench grates are available for both Class C (medium duty) and Class D (heavy duty) purposes, so whatever your load rating requirements are, we will have a trench grate to suit those needs.

For maximum flexibility, Covertite’s trench grates — made from galvanized mild steel — are supplied in one-metre lengths. All trench grates are ‘bolt down’, minimising the risk of accidental displacement and theft.

The galvanised mild steel composition of Covertite’s trench grates provides an opportunity to deliver a product at an affordable price, without sacrificing the quality or safety aspects of the grates in any way.

As with all of our other grates and covers, Covertite’s galvanised mild steel trench grates are fully compliant with (or exceed) the standards set out in Australian Standard AS3996, fully ensuring the safety of pedestrians, bicycle and vehicle traffic.
